Winter Resort Haliburton - Fishing on Halls Lake
Ontario Winter Resorts - Looking to go Ice fishing in Haliburton then try Halls Lake north of Minden Ontario. Halls Lake is over one mile wide and approximately two miles long. One of Ontario's deepest lakes at 140 feet at the north end to 260 feet in the south end. The Loralea Country Inn Resort is your winter cottage resort with lake cottages and cabins in the Haliburton Highlands.
Summer - Very clean lake which makes for great swimming and not over populated with boats.
Winter - Ice fishing on Halls Lake is popular with the main catch being lake trout and small mouth bass in spring, summer and fall. Lake also lets our guests do some winter hiking, cross country skiing or let the dog loose for some exercise.
We do not have ice hut rentals due to our insurance company will not cover ice huts. Most of our guests bring their own equipment and fish the lake which avoid any costs for huts.
